The Xbox 360 in my opinion is one of the best video game consoles ever made. I say that because I own one and play it just about every single day. As with almost every consoles there is always that one thing  that bothers you about it. And I am sure you can figure out the one thing I really don’t like too much about the Xbox 360.

That’s right, it is the Xbox 360 red ring of death. The red ring of death is extremely scary. I wish they could of really done a better job on the over-heating problems, or at least made like a free repair guide available to all the users.

Well at least others have taking the opportunity to make some repair guides and make a few dollars. Here is an Xbox 360 repair guide review site, they actually give ratings to the guides, not a bad idea. There are many of these sites on the internet when I got my red ring of death, I really liked the How to fix the red ring of death blog & site.

One thing I do want to make gamers aware of, is the towel trick repair method. Trust me when I tell you this, Do not try it. They will advice you to put a towel around your xbox 360 and make it even hotter!!! okay well that’s just plain dumb in my opinion. How it the heck will making your xbox 360 hotter fix an over-heating problem? can someone please explain the logic behind that great idea.

The good thing is if you still have the warranty in tact you can just send it in, and they will fix it for you, but on the other hand if you don’t you will have to pay some money, which is never fun. Especially if you are broke like me lol!

Usually the best thing to do is just buy a solid repair guide for around $29. I think it better doing that then sending your Xbox 360 off some where and having to wait 4-6 weeks to get it back. When you can just fix it yourself for $29 bucks and a few hours of brain crunching.

Another thing to keep in mind. Dust your box regularly you don’t want too much dust to get into your console. Dust causes a lot of headache for lots of electronics. So keep your Xbox 360 dust-free or at least as much as you can.

Its no secret that  I love playing video games, and that most of my family hates them. They always tell me I am wasting my time, and that video games won’t take me anywhere in life.

So I was thinking to myslef, what if there was a way to prove them wrong, and actually make some doe playing video games. Now, I have herd that you can become a video game tester from some of my

college buddies but I doubt, it is as easy as they describe it. I mean they just keeping telling me about these stories of how other people are making money, but the truth is I have never seen those people.

So, I am thinking they might of been lying the whole time. I found this site on google: Video Game Tester Jobs , according to them game testers can make on average like $750 a week. Idk if that is true or not.

But I do like there honest opinion about video game testing. It seems as tho, video game testing might not be a dream job as many have described it. I have added there site to my blog roll in case anyone wants to check it out later on.

Maybe I don’t want to be a game tester after all, it seems as tho it is a lot of hard work involved (I am lazy). But I would still do it maybe over the summer, just to get my family back lol.

I am a big fan of Star Wars! I love Star Wars! I have every movie showed, I have a big and huge collection of Star Wars Action Figures, Star Wars Collectibles and toys too! My friends around my neighbourhood we always meet up reguarly to chat and talk about Star Wars, sharing our collections and share experiences. Sometimes we will also go to garage sale to look for old Star Wars figures that we can get our hands on. You know…. vintage Star Wars figures is so hard to find and if you can find one at a garage sale, you are on luck! Not many people want to sell, you see.

Everytime I watch back those movies, I learnt something new, something that I will realise about life that I can improve from, like never give up on your dreams and keep fighting like a Jedi.  My room is so packed with all those action figures, toys of my collections! To be frank, I have some problem walking in room thou, so I have to sell off some of the figures, no choice, I can also have some pocket money for my daily life too. I have a dream, if I really can afford it, I will buy a bigger house for myself and specially prepare a room to store all my Star Wars Collections, that would be the best!

I know there are a lot of Star Wars Fans out there and I was thinking, if there is like a Star Wars Conference in the world, I will sure fly over to which ever country and join the conference. The best place to buy Star Wars Action Figures is in eBay, there are a lot of great deals waiting for you to snatch and grab!

I have been trying to find a good Star Wars Price Guide but it’s really hard to find one. I found a few in Amazon and I am going to buy one, to help guide me better in the prices so that I will not pay for more than it should.

It’s a New Year! Today my mum and I went to visit our home center to get a perfect closet organizer for my house and also my room. Having closet organizers at home really makes your house and room so much more organized and it really save you a lot of time finding youy things in times when you are in a hurry.

The local closet organizers vendors at the home center is great! They have just about anything we want. I told my mum that I wanted one closet organizer that I can DIY (Do-It-Yourself). I like to hands on, on my own closet organizers so that it bring me that self-satisification feeling! There are so many different types of closet organizers at the local home center that I had a hard time choosing one.

Some closet organizes are white metal, some that are white wood, and some that are a darker wood. Guess what I found out, DIY closet organizers designs are so much more than those already assembled closet organizers. I bought one that is a wood closet organizer but my room floor is made of wood, I wanted something that can match my floor so as to make it more blend in into my room. Had a great time shopping with my mum for my DIY Closet Organizer for my room today!

My view on this is that the real motive for the record high sale of iPhone is actually to help fund the Max OS which is the main market Apple might be targeting at. It can be only in the background. Imagine Apple were to takeover the OS industry too, it will be the grestest company in the world in no time! Just my point of view.

Apple Reports Fourth Quarter Results

6.9 Million iPhones Sold Mac Sales Reach All-Time High

CUPERTINO, California—October 21, 2008—Apple® today announced financial results for its fiscal 2008 fourth quarter ended September 27, 2008. The Company posted revenue of $7.9 billion and net quarterly profit of $1.14 billion, or $1.26 per diluted share. These results compare to revenue of $6.22 billion and net quarterly profit of $904 million, or $1.01 per diluted share, in the year-ago quarter. Gross margin was 34.7 percent, up from 33.6 percent in the year-ago quarter. International sales accounted for 41 percent of the quarter’s revenue.

In accordance with the subscription accounting treatment required by GAAP, the Company recognizes revenue and cost of goods sold for iPhone™ and Apple TV® over their economic lives. Adjusting GAAP sales and product costs to eliminate the impact of subscription accounting, the corresponding non-GAAP measures* for the quarter are $11.68 billion of “Adjusted Sales” and $2.44 billion of “Adjusted Net Income.”

Apple shipped 2,611,000 Macintosh® computers during the quarter, representing 21 percent unit growth and 17 percent revenue growth over the year-ago quarter. The Company sold 11,052,000 iPods during the quarter, representing eight percent unit growth and three percent revenue growth over the year-ago quarter. Quarterly iPhone units sold were 6,892,000 compared to 1,119,000 in the year-ago-quarter.

“Apple just reported one of the best quarters in its history, with a spectacular performance by the iPhone—we sold more phones than RIM,” said Steve Jobs, Apple’s CEO. “We don’t yet know how this economic downturn will affect Apple. But we’re armed with the strongest product line in our history, the most talented employees and the best customers in our industry. And $25 billion of cash safely in the bank with zero debt.”

“We’re very pleased to have grown revenue 35 percent and to have generated $9.1 billion in cash in fiscal 2008,” said Peter Oppenheimer, Apple’s CFO. “Looking ahead, visibility is low and forecasting is challenging, and as a result we are going to be prudent in predicting the December quarter. We are providing a wide range for our guidance, targeting revenue of $9.0 to $10.0 billion and earnings per diluted share between $1.06 and $1.35.”

Right now, today, the whole world is very frightened about the whole economy of the world right now. It’s one of the worst since the Year 1932 Great Depression that strikes the world. It may become one and now the ball is in the US. In the Great Depression, when over three years the economy shrunk by nearly half and unemployment reached 24%.Although the current stock market has a long way to go to match the Great Depression’s collapse but still the world need to do something about it. Current economic measures are still far cheerier than of the Great Depression. When Depression strikes, the whole nation had virtually no safety net for the needy and no regulation of banks. Government officials then were reluctant to rescue distressed players in the market. It can that worst.

Historian Bryant Simon of Temple University, director of American studies said:” It is a very similar process to the Great Depression, because what you have is people not spending enough money,” said Debt-ridden consumers and troubled banks are toxic to a consumption-driven economy”, he said.

“It is not as severe as it was,” Simon said. “But if the banks are not going to lend money, you can’t get the economy back in gear. What you have is people not spending enough money.”

The United States although had always struggled through periodic and painful downturns during its history but bounces back everytime too. But during that Great Depression, it was so terrible and deep and broad that it sparked dramatic action to change the rules of the market. The current credit crunch may test the theory or maybe the history again.

The late economist Hyman Minsky said capitalist systems tend to “constantly leverage up with more debt,” noted former Fed economist Tim Yeager, who was one of Minsky’s students and is now a finance professor at the University of Arkansas.

“Credit becomes weaker, loans become worse and worse and risk grows,” Yeager said. “It is like a Ponzi scheme.”

For both stocks and homes, the game could go on as long as prices kept rising. We all have to really save up for the upcoming financial storm coming ahead, right at us directly.

Despite similarities, most experts don’t think the 2008 crisis will lead to a full replay of the Depression.

But Yeager, the former Fed economist, said the worst may still be to come.

“There is a big storm brewing.”
